In Spring, life clings to budding branches
Granting flowers second chances
So stands out tree, baptized by dew
As all the world is born anew
This is the way that I love you
In Summer, life so ripe and sweet
That waxy leaves protect from heat
A feisty breeze cascades on through
Our tree, which sways and rocks on cue
This is the way that I love you
In Fall, life crawls into its den
To hide from crimson-painted glen
Our tree will find its leaves withdrew
Fled to the land and tossed askew
This is the way that I love you
In Winter, life is no where found
For powder chokes the barren ground
Our tree is cracked, a pale hue
Now still and cold where beauty grew
This is the way that I love you
In Love, life is various
Carefree and precarious
Comical and serious
Cheerful and nefarious
Love can fade into the dark
It will grow awkward and seem stark
But nature blooms again, its true
Surpassing death and born anew
This is the way that I love you

So, this will be my first piece upon my return to DeviantArt, as this is also my most recient completed piece.
I hope you enjoy it, and I hope the woman I adore has enjoyed it, as well. ^^ Feel free to comment and critique, but there will be no canges made. It is spoken from my heart and that is how it will stay. -_^ >> Except in the first stanza, third line. That "out" should be an "our", but DevART is being a pain and won't let me change it.
